Leila Bryant

Softball Trainer

            Leila (Dolfo) Bryant, originally from San Diego California, is an accomplished softball player and coach with a history of success. Beginning with high school softball at Eastlake High School in California, she played a variety of positions as an outstanding utility pitcher. Her athletic abilities earned her a full softball scholarship to the University of Memphis in 2005 and she was also later inducted into the Eastlake High School Hall of Fame.

Once at the University of Memphis, her skills and leadership abilities earned her team and individual accomplishments in Conference USA, All Region Team honors, and Offensive player of the year awards.  As a utility player at the U of M, she set a multitude of records during her tenure from 2006-2009, finishing with her being inducted into the University of Memphis Hall of Fame in 2016.  She also successfully completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication.

After completing her playing career, she also served as an assistant coach of the softball program at Christian Brothers University (CBU) in Memphis, Tennessee from 2009-2011, where she also completed her Master’s Degree in Education with honors. She also served as an assistant coach for the softball program at Lincoln Memorial University in 2011.  After moving to Clarksville in 2013 she coached at Rossview High and Middle School from 2014-2015.

Leila is a loving wife and a mother of three.  She is a preschool teacher and loves giving the game of softball back to those who she teaches.  She has been coaching for 20 years and looks forward to the many players that she can positively influence. 

Collin Rittenberry

Baseball Trainer

Collin is a senior at Clarksville Academy and has been playing baseball since he was 4 year old. Collin has had several offers from different colleges to be recruited for their baseball programs. Collin was born and raised here in Clarksville and primarily focuses on pitching and catching but also provides lessons in hitting and fielding.  If you are interested in learning more send us a message today!

Eric Ransom

Baseball Pitching Instructor

Eric Ransom is originally from St. Simon's Island, GA where he grew up playing 8 plus years of high level travel and showcase baseball with various organizations including the St. Simons Seawolves, Savannah Chain, and Nike 5-Tool Program. 

 

After graduating high school from McIntosh County Academy in Darien, GA Eric attended Savannah State University in Savannah, GA where he majored in Marine Biology and played for 4 years as a scholarship earning pitcher on the university's Division I baseball team. During his 4 years at Savannah State, Eric had a total of 74 appearances where he compiled an overall record of 9 and 7 with a total of 10 saves. 

 

After graduating college, Eric decided to enlist in the United States Army. Eric is currently stationed and has been at Fort Campbell, KY since 2015 with his wife Courtney and 2 sons Carson and Eli. 

 

Eric's love and passion for the game of baseball has fueled his desire to become a pitching instructor at Legend Athletics. Through his lessons, Eric hopes to share his knowledge and experience of baseball at the high school and collegiate levels with young athletes to not only better them as baseball players now, but to prepare them for their future as well.
